The emerging field of peptides holds tremendous promise as a component of a healing or wellness plan but can be extremely overwhelming! Peptides are strings of amino acids our body naturally produces to turn pathways on or off. Insulin is an example of a peptide that has been used for decades. Glutathione is another peptide well known in the functional medicine community.

Peptide therapy is always a part of a well rounded treatment plan. Just like traditional prescription medicines, peptides are not to be used as a bandaid for symptoms without getting to the root cause. The reality is we live in a world full of environmental stressors including pesticides, heavy metals, plastics, and EMFs.
